The 2018 Hyundai Sonata also went under some major renovations with upgrades to its suspension and steering, as well as adding multiple standard safety features such as rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot detection, and lane change assist. The brand new SEL trim offers keyless ignition, a hands-free smart trunk, heated side mirrors, and a heated front seat. At the very top of the list, you have the Limited 2.0T which comes standard with not only everything that is on the other trims but also has everything offered by the packages and standalone features.

The Camry has 5 trim options and always includes the Toyota Safety Sense which includes a frontal pre-collision system with steering assistance, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. The base L trim offers a rearview camera, a height-adjustable driver seat, keyless entry, and Bluetooth. At the very top level, you have the XLE and the XSE trims, which simply add on to the LE and the SE with dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless ignition, and a smartphone wireless charging pad.

Conclusions

The Camry is a great safety vehicle, but it lacks in fuel economy and its trims are pretty limited. The Sonata offers everything that's on the table with its top trim and even has a fuel economy reaching up to 53 miles per gallon! If you're looking for a car that has it all, the Sonata has a much wider range of choices.
